It is very solid and of a really nice quality, better than I had expected. It is easy to use, has a sharp focus knob and magnification knob. The included bag is a bit tight and hard to get the scope in and out of but the included tabletop tripod is perfectly adequate.

The Gosky website suggest manufacture in China. I bought similar 10×42 from Celestron (were supposed to be US made) & ended up returning them as the optics showed double image despite any adjustments…..

However, at 100 yards, it works excellently without maxing magnification. So yes, this will be a great spotting scope for getting in target practice at the range.
